This little HowTo paper explains how to modify the vehicle specifications for the Ambulance called “AMBULAN” inside the config file. First you have to install “Grand Theft Auto III – 10 Year Anniversary Android” on your android Smartphone. I used for this tutorial my Samsung Galaxy S 2.

After installing GTA3 and fucking around Liberty City I wrote this short article about  10 Year Anniversary for Android.

Maybe you remember 1999 and the first GTA game the ported Grand Theft Auto III – 10 Year Anniversary for Android uses the same file structure and it is easy to modify the mobile version.

Modifying vehicle specifications:

Always make a backup copy of all your files before modding!

MAKE SURE GTA 3 IS NOT OPEN!

Connect your smart phone to your PC or MAC and search the following folder “com.rockstar.gta3″ where you installed GTA 3 for android to.

Now search the file “handling.cfg” located in the folder com.rockstar.gta3 -> files -> GTA3 -> data -> handling.cfg and make a backup copy. Now open the file with e.g. notepad or something like that and search for the entry “AMBULAN”

The first part from the handling.cfg cinsists out of explanations you need to know and to understand for modding GTA III.

Now I will explain how to modify the Ambulance that it does not get any damage during a chase with the police…

Search the line which starts with “AMBULAN”. Now search the column “Y” and the value “0.25″. The column Y descriptes the “fCollisionDamageMultiplier” as we know from theexplanations from the top of the config file.

Set the value 0.25 to the new value 0.0 and save the change.

The modified line should look like this:

AMBULAN         2600.0 2.2 6.5 2.0 0.0 0.0  0.3  90  0.95 0.80 0.47 5 190.0 24.0 4 D 7.0   0.55 0 35.0  1.4  0.07 0.58 0.0 10000 0.40 -0.15 0.5  822        0  1

Now upload the edited “handling.cfg” file into the folder “com.rockstar.gta3 -> files -> GTA3 -> data ->“.

Start “Grand Theft Auto III – 10 Year Anniversary Android” and have fun with the Ambulance…
