Samsung provides with Samsung Kies a sync software in order to sync Outlook contacts, schedule, tasks and notes. I downloaded the latest Samsung Kies software here from the Samsung Support page. After connecting your Galaxy Ace 2 with your PC the following functionalities are available within Samsung Kies.
Sync Outlook contacts
The synchronisation of the Outlook contacts worked well. It is important to understand the setting “Set as a synchronization data storage” that I described in the article about syncing Galaxy Ace 2 with Outlook.
Sync Outlook appointments
In addition to the synchronization of Outlook contacts I also tested to sync Outlook appointments. Though all contacts have been transferred to the Galaxy Ace 2 I was disappointed as a couple of appointement information are missing. I described the single problems I had with syncing my Outlook calendar here.
Sync Outlook tasks
My tests regarding the synchronization of Outlook tasks were succesful. Here you can read the entire process and how to sync your Outlook tasks with your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.
Sync Outlook notes.
As the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 has the “Memo App” already installed the synchronization of Outlook notes works very good. I also was succesful in changing the note on my Galaxy Ace 2 and synced it back to Outlook.
