I use my Galaxy S2 as an alarm clock. In the middle of the night I get awake by the loud fully charged sound of my Galaxy S2 smartphone. I looked up in the settings of my SGS2 to turn the sound off. But the only way to turn the beep noise off was to mute the SGS2.
Today I found a little app in the android market and which fully mutes your SGS2 before the phone gets fully charged. This is very cool because now I can use the Galaxy S2 as an alarm clock.
This is the description form the android market:
Application mutes battery full charged notification sound and vibration for Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT7510.
Mutes notification stream sounds and vibration (vibration feature works only for some phones) just before battery is fully charged and restores volume after battery is fully charged.
It is possible to configure time range when feature will mute notification sound (within this interval notification sound will be muted just before battery is going to be fully charged, usually couple of minutes).
Therewith the apps offers two good functions.
- If you install the app the fully charged sound is automatically disabled (you do not need to configure this setting).
- You can define a time range (i.g. at night) so that the SGS2 is completely mute.
