Samsung started disposing a new update for the SGS2. The new android 2.3.6 firmware for the Galaxy S2 is now available via Kies. I read in asian forums that hey had problems with the new firmware and I decided for me to be carefully with an upgrade. The problem the people are describing is that their SGS2 reboots sometimes. I will try to install the new firmware next weekend and I will update my blog instantly.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately there was no description about the new features of the firmware. I found nothing about the improvements on the Samsung homepage. But what I found in blogs and forums was that the SGS2 will respond faster. It will boot faster and the accu lasts longer. I’m afraid if I will have the same experience with updating my SGS2.<\/p>\n

Samsung Kies - Firmware-update<\/p><\/div>\n

First I will make a backup and then try to install the new android 2.3.6 firmware on my Galaxy S2.<\/p>\n

The new update on android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available by Kies in the first quater of 2012. But the android 2.3.6 will shorten the waiting time for android 4.0.<\/p>\n
