Odin<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Preconditions\"><\/span>Preconditions:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>These are the preconditions that you need before you start to root your SGS2:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a) A Samsung Galaxy S2 with NO branding<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">b) MicroUSB cabel<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">c) USB jig (optional) &#8211; I did not use it<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">d) <a href=\"http:\/\/forum.xda-developers.com\/attachment.php?attachmentid=611625&amp;d=1306787405\">Odin3<\/a>\u00a0software on your PC<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">e) At least 70 % power remaining<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Kernel_version\"><\/span>1. Kernel version<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Stelle sicher das Du Dir einen Screenshot von Deiner aktuell Kernelversion machst. Diesen Screenshot solltest Du gut aufheben falls Du mal wieder auf die offizielle Version zur\u00fcck flashen m\u00f6chtest. Also bei mir ist gut zu erkennen welche Version vom Kernel installiert ist.<br \/>\nEinstellungen -&gt; Telefoninfo -&gt; nach ganz unte scrollen<\/p>\n<p>Please make a screenshot of your current Kernel version. Save this screenshot on your PC to be able to reinstall the official version. Kernel aussuchen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the screenshot above you can see that I have currently GINGERBREAD Krenel with version XWKI4. Therefore I searched for a KI4 Kernel that includes root, busybox and ClockWorkMod (CWM4\/5). On <a title=\"xda-developers.com\" href=\"http:\/\/forum.xda-developers.com\/showthread.php?t=1103399\" target=\"_blank\">xda-developers <\/a>homepage you should find the right Kernel for your Smartphone. I downloaded the XW_NEE_KI4: 2.3.4 Kernel. I unpacked the zip file so that you can access to \u00a0CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_KI4-v4.1-CWM4.tar file. Please do not unpack the TAR file anymore.<\/p>\n<p>[sam_zone id=&#8221;2&#8243; codes=&#8221;true&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Get_SGS2_into_download_mode\"><\/span>3. Get SGS2 into download mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Im Schritt drei bingen wir jetzt das SGS2 in den Download Modus. Der Download Modus ist wichtig um den neuen Kernel aufzuspielen. Also jetzt das Galaxy S2 ausschalten. Anschlie\u00dfend schaltest Du es wieder ein und h\u00e4lst die folgenden drei Tasten gedr\u00fcckt:<\/p>\n<p>The next step is to get the SGS2 into the download mode in order to install the new Kernel. Switch off your smartphone and restart it while pressing the following 3 buttons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volume down button<\/li>\n<li>Home button<\/li>\n<li>Start button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now following message should appear:<\/p>\n<p>Warning!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key.
