The version of Samsung Kies I installed was the 2.5.0.12094_28 version. The setup installed Samsung Kies and started immediately the download of some hotfixes or updates for Samsung Kies. Do you manage your contacts in your google account or in your MS Outlook. As you see in the picture above the Note 2 is displayed as GT-N7100 inside Kies. I want to sync my MS outlook contacts on my Note 2. For this I configured Kies as described below.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sync contacts with -&gt; <strong>Outlook<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>All contacts<\/li>\n<li>Syncing direction -&gt; <strong>Apply to device only.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>I let the Check Box &#8220;Sync the Outlook category with the contact group of the devide&#8221; checked. For this I will change the two contacts directly on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. After this I will sync the two modified contacts back to my MS Outlook.<\/p>\n<p>I will delete the picture from Mr. Derrick and modify the cellphone number from Mrs. Daisey. I change the last six digits to 111 &#8211; 111.<\/p>\n<p>Now I will sync my Note 2 with Samsung Kies as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sync contacts with -&gt; <strong>Outlook<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>All contacts<\/li>\n<li>Syncing direction -&gt; <strong>Apply to Outlook only.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>I let the Check Box &#8220;Sync the Outlook category with the contact group of the devide&#8221; checked. (With this configuration the groups which are configured in my Note 2 contact list will be synced to MS Outlook.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As you see in the screenshot below my MS Outlook has two contact lists. This shows the next picture. The picture form Mr. Derrick is now deleted and the cellphone number from Mrs. Daisey shows at the end the 111 &#8211; 111. I don&#8217;t want to show my private contacts on the pictures I upload here for this article. I also synced all my private contacts with Samsung Kies and this also works perfect for me. I synced my private contacts in both directions. At the end I had no double entries in MS outlook nor on my Note 2.
