Mobile Business Intelligence

Nach dem ich ende 2006 mit Mobile Reporting gestartet bin möchte ich ca. 3 1/2 Jahre später das MoBi Thema wieder in einem neuen Artikel zusammen fassen.

Dabei möchte ich auf den neuesten Stand meiner kleinen Applikation eingehen und die aktuelle Entwicklung am Markt aufzeigen.

MoBi mit SAP Web-Applikation-Designer (WAD)

Die aktuelle Applikation die ich entwickelt habe setzt nach wie vor auf den WAD der SAP. Der im 3.5 Standard erzeugte HTML Code ist im Vergleich zum 7.0 Web-Reporting deutlich kleiner und für die Endgeräte gut verständlich. Dahingegen ist mit dem 7.x Standard sehr viel JavaScript im HTML Code der so seine Probleme macht.

MoBi mit BusinessObject (BO)

SAP entwickelt unter der BusinessObject Umgebung eine neue mobile reporting Plattform. Den aktuellen Stand kann man im SAP BUSINESSOBJECTS INNOVATION CENTER nachlesen.

Neben meinem Schwerpunkt SAP darf man den Blick über den Tellerrand nicht vergessen. So gibt es noch viele weitere BI Tools die Sie einladen durch Ihre Daten zu surfen.

Nachfolgend möchte ich ein paar Anbieter aufzählen die generell im mobile Bereich tätig sind und Geschäftsprozesse und Reportinganwendungen auf mobile Endgeräte bringen.

SKY Technologies

Sky Technologies kenne ich selber schon etwas. Die Firma stammt aus Australien und ist stark im SAP CRM Bereich für mobile Endgeräte tätig. Neben der CRM Lösung kommt auch in Zukunft mit dem nächsten Release eine überarbeitete Mobile Business Intelligence Anwendung für BlackBerry, iPhone und sonstigen Smartphones.

Dundas mobile

Our mobile page, when viewed on a Mobile Browser, is 100% WML compliant so there is no compatibility issues; it simply works with all mobile devices. This example in specific was created using Visual Studio 2005 Mobile Controls, IIS, and unmodified copies of our ASP.NET products in BinaryStreaming mode.
